Panthenol
As provitamin B5, D-panthenol belongs to the vitamin B complex. It increases the skin’s capacity to retain moisture and promotes the formation of new cells. It is therefore also used pharmaceutically as an active in many healing ointments.

Properties
Protection for our most important “tools”.
Our hands are often exposed to extreme demands, which easily leaves them dry, rough and cracked. This hand cream was developed specifically to protect them.
It forms a protective, non-greasy film on the surface of the skin and so reduces moisture loss. The balanced formulation provides both an immediate and a long-lasting effect.

The active ingredients
Six active ingredients for regeneration, soothing and moisture.
Vitamin E
Vitamin E is a component of all human cell membranes and acts as a lipid-soluble antioxidant. It protects polyunsaturated fatty acids in membrane lipids, lipoproteins and depot fat from oxidation. Tocopheryl acetate is a form of vitamin E with a pronounced radical-scavenging effect.
Bisabolol
Bisabolol is the principal anti-inflammatory active in chamomile oil. It also has a wound-healing effect.
Almond oil
Almond oil is obtained from sweet almond kernels – even Cleopatra valued its effect. It absorbs quickly after application and leaves virtually no sheen. Almond oil improves the skin’s lipid mantle and protective layer.
Caution if you have a nut allergy.
Urea
Urea occurs naturally in the skin at a concentration of 8–11 µg per square centimetre; where the value falls below this, the skin is usually dry. Applied externally at concentrations of between 1 and 3 %, urea raises the skin’s urea concentration and has a moisturising effect thanks to its water-binding properties.
Glycerin
Glycerin increases the moisture content of the skin because it penetrates the skin and markedly improves its water-binding capacity.
